How to Service the EGR Valve on 2002 Ford Explorer?

In order to service the EGR valve, place the air cleaner outlet tube aside, disconnect the vacuum hose, EGR tube fitting, and unbolt the valve and discard the previous gasket. To install, do the reverse, clean off the sealing surfaces and apply a fresh gasket.
