When servicing the HVAC accumulator start by disconnecting the nut and A/C hose support bracket followed by the degas bottle. The service begins by unscrewing the suction accumulator spring lock coupling followed by the discarding of its O-ring seal. Apply PAG Refrigerant Compressor Oil F7AZ-19589-DA (Motorcraft YN-12-C) or similar material of Ford WSH-M1C231-B specification to lube a new O-ring during installation. First unscrew the screw and afterwards remove the suction accumulator. Follow the reverse order of the removal procedure while performing an evacuation then leak test and system charge.
