Service of the right-hand exhaust manifold starts by raising the vehicle onto a hoist through proper means. First remove the four bolts from the dual converter Y pipe and exhaust manifold connector and detach the connector before throwing away the old gasket. You must disconnect the EGR tube from the exhaust manifold before you can remove the right-hand exhaust manifold by removing its eight nuts. Discard the exhaust manifold gasket. Install the new exhaust manifold gasket before putting the right-hand exhaust manifold in position using specified nut sequence and final torque pattern. Install the exhaust manifold by placing its gasket first before tightening eight bolts to 17-23 Nm (13-17 ft. lbs.) then to 41-54 Nm (31-39 ft. lbs.). The last step requires reinstalling the dual converter Y pipe followed by vehicle lower-down.
