- Q: How Can You Safely Depower and Repower the Air Bag Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) on 2002 Lincoln LS?A: A professional must wear safety glasses while handling air bag modules because this helps prevent injuries from accidental air bag deployment. Probing any connectors of the air bag module must be completely avoided since it results in unsafe deployment that endangers personnel. A seat service including side air bags or safety belt pretensioners demands that SRS depowering takes place first. The RCM fuse F2.14 (10A) removal will activate the air bag warning lamp when the ignition is ON but this normal behavior does not indicate any fault.
