2002 Lincoln Town Car A/C Condenser Parts Q&A

  • Q: How to Service and Repair the A/C Condenser on 2002 Lincoln Town Car?
A: Start HVAC condenser service by performing a leak test on the A/C condenser core before components extraction. Replacement of a new suction accumulator/drier should be performed when physical system contamination appears from defective A/C compressors or damaged suction accumulator/driers. Refrigerant recovery must happen before battery removal along with upper sight shield removal of the radiator. Begin the condenser to evaporator and A/C compressor to condenser discharge line uninstallation by correctly using the peanut fitting procedure. Start by loosing the bolts which anchor the radiator supports along with two more bolts. Lift the radiator while tilting it backward in order to remove the A/C condenser core. Follow the removal steps in reverse to install the replacement A/C condenser core by servicing it with PAG Refrigerant Compressor Oil (R-134a Systems) F7AZ-19589-DA (Motorcraft YN-12-C) or an equivalent that follows Ford specification WSH-M1C231-B. Also apply the same PAG Refrigerant Compressor Oil to the O-ring seal.
