Start the repair or service of the seat cushion by first removing the seat followed by removal of the front seat backrest. First remove the seat track before you release all retainers that consist of both J-clips and pin-type retainers. The following tasks should be performed starting with the removal of the cover then the retaining clip and pin followed by both the armrest and its associated cover trim. Remove the frame and bolts as well as the armrest bracket after you detach the seat trim cover. In the assembly process reverse the steps of disassembly while verifying that the active restraint system functions properly.
