The service begins by taking out the hood latch and pin-type retainers followed by setting the air deflector aside to reach the hood cable guide. The service requires removal of the hood cable guide and all other remaining parts. Start by taking out the PCM together with the A-pillar lower trim panel while next removing all nuts to let the hood latch release/park brake bracket drop free from the vehicle. The cable conduit must be released followed by cable removal from the handle to detach the hood cable. Extract the hood cable and dash panel grommet from the front area of the vehicle as the final step. The installation steps remain opposite to the removal steps.
