2003 Ford F-150 Brake Pedal Parts Q&A

  • Q: How to service and repair the brake pedal assembly for a fixed manual transmission on 2003 Ford F-150?
A: The brake pedal assembly repair for fixed manual transmission starts with disconnecting the clutch master cylinder push rod together with the clutch pedal position switch (CPP). The clutch master cylinder needs removal by rotating it at 45 degrees clockwise. First remove the stoplight switch self-locking pin after which the stoplight switch together with the booster push rod can be slid off the brake pedal pin. First remove the bulkhead sound insulator then detach the brake pedal bracket bolts along with the two nuts. First place the bulkhead sound insulator outside the area defined by brake pedal and bracket and bulkhead before proceeding with the steps in reverse order to finish the installation process.
