    A: Start the front door latch service and repair operations by taking out both the front door trim panel and the side impact energy absorption panel. Proceed to detach the door latch remote control after unscrewing it if such a component is installed. Users should exercise caution by not coming in contact with the adhesive area because this touching could affect re-bonding strength while they peel back the watershield and disconnect the door latch actuator electrical connector. Begin servicing the exterior door handle access hole grommet by first removing its screw from the door lock cylinder bezel. Keep the latter in place. Begin by sliding the door lock cylinder bezel and exterior door handle until they release from their positions then take out the handle and gaskets. The exterior door handle requires screw loosening followed by pressing the door latch to remove it. The first step requires detachment of the door latch security shield followed by removal of the door latch and the exterior door handle reinforcement plate. The procedure involves rotating the exterior door handle reinforcement plate clip in a counterclockwise direction until the rod disconnectes. Then disconnect the rod leading to the door lock cylinder. Detach the door latch remote control outer cable before rotating the door latch remote control clockwise to take out the door latch. When adding or replacing door latch functionality users need to link the remote control to the door latch while skirting the new adjustment clip yet maintaining it loose then complete the exterior door handle setup by joining its clip and rod. At this point, lock the door lock cylinder connecting rod clip into position and position the door latch before pressing the latch to activate tang locking while leaving the screws untightened. Fasten the security shield to the door latch before you install all necessary gaskets and place the exterior door handle into its locked position.
