How to service and repair the Coolant Temperature Sensor for the water temperature indicator on a 2.3L engine on 2003 Ford Ranger?

In order to fix the sensor of the water temperature indicator of a 2.3L engine, one needs to disconnect the battery ground cable first. Take out the cooling system and disconnect the electrical connector. Take out that coolant temperature sensor, smear the thread with pipe thread sealant and reattach it. Lastly, retrace the steps to make it complete.
