Start the rotation of the tensioner clockwise to take off the accessory drive belt from the generator pulley before you loosen the two lower generator bolts to a torque setting of 25 Nm (18 lb-ft) for both bolts during reinstallation. The service procedure includes removing two generator bracket bolts then placing the generator bracket combination aside while tightening the hardware to 10 Nm (89 lb-in) during the reinstall process. Use the disconnecting tool to remove the electrical connector of the cylinder head temperature (CHT) sensor before using the 19 mm (0.74 in) 12 point crows foot to extract the CHT sensor. Remember that the sensor requires replacement because only new ones are usable. The new sensor must be tightened to 26 Nm (19 lb-ft) torque.
