How to remove the Center Console Base on 2003 Lincoln LS?

Safety measures require the seats to be appropriately positioned then the battery needs to be disconnected before removing the floor console. Each procedure for removing individual components requires following the listed instructions in sequence. Cancelling the armrest involves unscrewing the armrest hinge screws together with the screw and rivet. The console storage bin has retainers that you need to pull upward to access before pulling out the electrical connectors. The lower instrument panel finish panel can be removed after pulling it upward from the front which releases the retainers then disconnects the electrical connectors. The electrical connectors need to be disconnected from the cup holder before replacement. To eliminate the floor console assembly start by removing all electrical connectors first and then extract it from the rear section while drawing it backward until the instrument panel releases the rear seat heater ducts. Follow the opposite order of removal to install the components.
