How to remove the Center Console Base on 2004 Lincoln LS?

Starting the floor console removal requires moving the seats to the correct position and disconnecting the battery. Individual component removal should be performed according to the designated sequence. Start your repair by taking out all three parts from the armrest including hinge screws along with a single screw and one rivet. To remove the console storage bin first lift it upward to free its retainers and disconnect its electrical connectors. The lower instrument panel finish panel requires pulling upward from the front side to allow retainer release before disconnecting electrical connectors. Separate the electrical connectors connecting the cup holder. The rear seat heater ducts must be released from the instrument panel after lifting the console at the back while slipping the console toward the rear end. Follow the reverse order from the removal steps to install the component.
