2003 Lincoln Navigator Accelerator Cable Parts Q&A

  • Q: How to service the accelerator cable on 2003 Lincoln Navigator?
A: The servicing process for the accelerator cable begins with disconnecting it from the accelerator pedal before removing the air cleaner outlet pipe. Secure access to the accelerator cable by detaching it first from the routing clip then applying pressure to lock tabs which exist inside the passenger area to push the cable into the engine compartment. Sliding the cable end off the throttle body cam requires rotating the cam forward while disconnecting the cable. Depressing the tabs will allow you to remove the cable from its bracket on the accelerator cable. You should follow the opposite instructions used for removal to install the components.
