    A: To service the accelerator cable, unplug it at the pedal, and unplug it at the air cleaner outlet pipe, and pull it out of the routing clip. Slide the cable into the engine compartment, unplug it off the throttle body cam and pull it out of the bracket. Installation is reversed.
  • Q: How to Service and Repair the Accelerator Cable on Lincoln Navigator?
    A: To maintain the accelerator pedal cable, take off splash shield bolts and shield. Unplug throttle lever and roll forward with disconnect cable and slide the end off. On the non-electronic models, you would depress lock tabs to release it out of the bracket and the pedal and press it outside of the passenger compartment into the engine bay. Reinstall reversing steps.
