Apply the hex holding feature on the stud when taking out the nut before breaking the tie-rod from the wheel knuckle and disposing of the nut. Discard the bolt before moving the brake hose to its place. Apply the hex holding function to stop the stud from rotating while you take off and dispose of the nut. Want to remove both pieces while throwing away the nut at this time. The ball joint separation process from the knuckle requires a loose installation of the nut followed by tapping the stud to enable nut removal and subsequent ball joint-knuckle separation with the discarded nut. Repeated use of the hex holding feature will stop the stud from turning during discarding of the wheel knuckle and nut. Reinstall the ball joint by following the removal steps in the reverse order and verify and adjust the front end alignment when needed.
