The air suspension switch in the luggage compartment should be set to OFF to disable electrical power because it prevents air springs from changing their state during vehicle hoisting, jacking or towing operations. The next step requires hoisting the vehicle before you pull the parking brake adjuster clip downward. Apply full brake control pressure while carefully pushing up on the adjuster clip to secure it then you can stop pressing the brake control. The front parking brake cable must be separated from the LH parking brake rear cable using a cable connector. After this step the retaining tabs should be pressed to remove the front parking brake cable retainer from the bracket. Lower the vehicle by removing its parking brake cable bracket. First disconnect the front parking brake cable and conduit from the parking brake control when the pushpins are removed and the close-out panel is removed. Complete removal of the front parking brake cable and conduit requires pushing down at the conduit. Follow the steps of reversal and make needed adjustments to the parking brake cable tension during reinstallation.
