2004 Ford Escape Battery Cable Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to service and repair the battery cables on 2004 Ford Escape?
A: Start the battery cable service process by first removing the fuel tray together with the air cleaner assembly as well as the fuse junction box cover. First detach the cables by taking off nuts and cable and letting go of the lock clip before pulling the connector downwards. You should first take off the bolt attaching the inner fender before unfastening the battery ground cable bolt and removing its cable at the transaxle top. The harness clip must be taken apart first before removing cable ends from the starter solenoid by removing upper and lower nuts. Finish the process by taking out the cable harness from the vehicle body. Recovery of the break requires the same steps in opposite order.
