    A: The initialization process for the LF door window motor requires a clear window system without any obstructions and correct installation of all components - window glass, window regulator, window motor, and glass top run tightened to specification level. After installation the LF door window motor functions in proportional up/down mode but needs reinitialization when motor replacement occurs or if new regulators appear or window glass addition happens or if any lubrication or grease ingestion occurs. Start the procedure with the ignition key set to OFF position and the LF door wide open. Put the key into the ON position before pressing the front window control switch (LF) to AUTO position exactly 6 times. Leave the LF door open as you turn the key to OFF before you complete the six times AUTO position press of the front window control switch (LF). Close the LF door after putting the ignition key to ON and the window glass will perform a down-up-down-up movement of about 2-3 mm (0.1 in) to indicate the entry into initialization mode. To accomplish this step you must sustain your grip on the front window control switch (LF) at the UP position until the glass reaches the upper header seal. To initiate a one-touch down operation of the window use front window control switch (LF) to briefly move to the DOWN position until it stops reaching the bottom travel stop. Keep holding the front window control switch (LF) at UP position until window glass reaches upper header seal and conducts a down-up operation to confirm initialization success. When verifying the LF window functionality perform tests on one-touch down, one-touch up and proportional down and proportional up functions. The correct operation of the window should be checked after a new attempt at initial setup.
