How to service the front door power window motor on Ford Expedition?

Begin servicing the front door window motor by eliminating the front door trim panel then putting the front door weathershield to a side. A flat-blade screwdriver should be used to lock the window regulator assembly drum during the removal of screws that attach the front door window regulator motor. Disengage the electrical connector then remove the bolts which must be tightened to 7 Nm (62 lb-in) while reinstalling. A proper motor installation includes window glass cycling to confirm that the gears will function correctly when the process runs in reverse. A power window regulator motor needs re-initialization after removal of the LF/RF (Navigator) or LF (Expedition) motor from any vehicle.
