How to service and repair the hood latch on 2004 Ford Explorer Sport Trac?

Removal of the radiator grille sight shield and bolts in the latch are used to service the hood latch. Unscrew cable conduit and cable latch. To install, install the cable, and fit the latch and tighten the bolts. Apply grease where necessary and replace the sight shield. Make sure that it is well aligned.
