How to service the radiator for 5.4L and 6.8L engines on 2004 Ford F-350 Super Duty?

The service process for 5.4L and 6.8L engine radiators starts with draining the cooling system fluid. The process starts by disconnecting the transmission oil cooler tubes from the radiator before taking out the fan blade together with clutch and shroud. Disengage the degas drain hose and lower radiator hose from the radiator while raising the vehicle before lowering it down. You must first detach the upper hose from the radiator and remove its plastic pin-type retainers which allows positioning the radiator sight shield out of the way. The right upper radiator support dissociates from its bolts before the removal of the insulator. To begin the work disconnect the vent hose from the radiator while you also take away the bolts and the left side radiator support and its insulator. The installation procedure finally involves removing the radiator as well as removing the lower insulators from the radiator or frame extension. The finishing step for installation requires the same actions that were used for removal to be performed in the exact reverse order.
