Start by removing the battery ground cable harness bolt attached to the radiator support. After that, release the cable harness locators before separating the electrical connectors of the battery cable harness. A proper service of battery cables requires installing the square terminal from the battery before the round terminal from the generator to deter circuit failures and arcing. Disconnect the battery junction box by removing its nut before setting aside the positive battery cable and generator B+ cable.
