How to service the ignition coil on 2004 Ford Mustang?

The ignition coil service begins with battery ground cable and ignition coil electrical connector removal. The spark plug wires must be twisted carefully as you pull them upward in order to disconnect them successfully. The service begins by unclamping the accelerator cable from the ignition coil stud bolt then proceeding to unfasten the bolt hardware holding the coil. After disconnection the coil can be removed. The installation process requires starting with silicone brake caliper grease and dielectric compound on both the spark plug wire coil boot inside as well as reinstalling the radio ignition interference capacitor under its proper mounting bolt.
