Reset the cooling system and discard the air cleaner outlet pipe. The service process begins with removing power connections from the EGR valve before cutting the upper radiator hose and coolant hose from their respective outlets. The EGR valve requires unfastening its two securing bolts then the gasket should be discarded. Follow the removal process in reverse while installing the new EGR valve by tightening the valve to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft) and paying attention to properly clean and inspect all gasket surfaces.
