2005 Ford Excursion Wiper Switch Parts Q&A

  • Q: How to Service and Repair a Wiper Switch on 2005 Ford Excursion?
A: Start wiper switch servicing by taking out the lock cylinder from the ignition switch. Simple instructions require you to position the ignition key inside the lock cylinder before rotating it to the RUN position. A punch should push the ignition switch lock cylinder release tab followed by removal of the ignition switch lock cylinder. The first step requires twisting the tilt wheel handle along with the shank for removal. Proceed with removing the upper and lower steering column shrouds after extracting their screws. Start by taking out the multifunction switch after disconnecting its electrical connectors and unscrewing it and finally removing the switch itself. The installation of the new multifunction switch requires following the opposite steps of removal.
