First move the air cleaner intake pipe to the side then free the accessory drive belt tension and extract the belt from the generator pulley. First detach both generator B+ cable locators from the generator bracket and air cleaner stud bolt before proceeding to remove the generator bracket securing bolts. Wear caution when detaching the generator electrical connections because the updated connector contains a release tab which can break if you pull it the wrong way.
