Proceed with servicing and repairing the rear seat cushion cover starting from seat cushion removal. The service begins by removing four LATCH bolts used for child seating while tightening them to 6 Nm when reinstalling. The service process requires removal of two components: the 60/40 retention clip and the center support riser. When fixing the 60 percent seat first tighten the support riser bolt to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft) before both the support riser pivot bolt and bushing need a torque setting of 40 Nm (30 lb-ft) at reassembly. The technician must remove the left support riser along with the latch handle screw and handle and latch cover screw and cover before tightening the latch cushion bolt and latch to 30 Nm (22 lb-ft) when reinstalling them. Carefully separate the seat upholstery from the hook and loop strip while ensuring it stays on the seat cushion foam pad before breaking the hook and loop fasteners to remove the 60 percent cushion trim cover along with its hog rings. The 40 percent seat production requires removal of a support riser bolt which should be tightened to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft) before performing the same sequence on support riser pivot bolt, bushing and right support riser until torque reaches 40 Nm (30 lb-ft). Reinstall the latch bolt while tightening it to 30 Nm (22 lb-ft) followed by application of 30 Nm (22 lb-ft) to the latch handle screw. Take care during the process of hook and loop strip separation and then remove the 40 percent trim cover with its accompanying hog rings. In the final step reverse all assembly actions to restore the assembly condition.
