2005 Ford Mustang A/C Condenser Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to Service and Repair the A/C Condenser Core on 2005 Ford Mustang?
A: The repair process of a condenser core requires recovering all vapors first. Place the vehicle in NEUTRAL position while positioned on a hoist system. Replace the condenser inlet fitting nut after removing its O-ring seal and tighten it to 8 Nm (71 lb-in) during the installation. Before installing the new fittings begin by removing the lower radiator air deflector then proceed to take out the condenser outlet fitting by removing its nut alongside the O-ring seal before tightening both components to 8 Nm (71 lb-in). Begin by removing the two cooler line bracket nuts along with the cooler line next to set it aside and proceed to remove the four air deflector pin-type retainers to access the condenser core. Remove the two air deflectors to disassemble the condenser core unit. To install the components reverse the existing step order and replace O-rings with fresh ones before adding correct PAG oil quantities and lubricating the refrigeration system. The refrigerant system needs evacuation then leak testing before charging completes this procedure.
