Service of the 2.3L engine thermostat housing requires draining the cooling system at first. First disconnect both the coolant hose alongside the lower radiator hose. Following that remove the bolts that secure the thermostat housing together with the housing itself. To finish the process reinstall the new thermostat housing through the reverse order of the removal actions.
