The service of the CMP sensor begins with removing its two electrical connectors. Start by removing the ground strap nut then put the ground strap to the side. After replacement check that the ground strap nut reaches a torque value of 10 Nm (89 lb-in). While removing the three nuts first position the wiring harness conduit to the side before tightening them to 8 Nm (70 lb-in) torque specification. The left-hand (LH) and right-hand (RH) CMP sensors need their two securing bolts removed before installation where these bolts should be torqued to 10 Nm (89 lb-in). Routine inspection of O-ring seals should be followed by replacement if needed then new O-rings must get treated with engine oil before following removal steps to install.
