How to remove and install the Center Console Base on 2005 Ford Thunderbird?

Start removing the floor console by applying both parking brake and putting the transmission selector in neutral mode. Open the lower instrument panel finish panel and pull it up from the front to free the floor console finish panel assembly. Unclip the parking brake boot from the console interior and remove the four bolts including two front screws and two rear bolts to detach the floor console unit. Unscrew the nut at the rear side of the floor console assembly. Insert the console by pulling it toward the back and follow the reverse steps to tighten all fasteners to 8 Nm torque.
