How to service and repair the Transmission Pan and Automatic Transmission Filter on 2005 Lincoln Aviator?

In order to service the filter of the automatic transmission fluid, lift up the vehicle and empty the fluid. Wipe the reusable gasket and take the fluid pan and old filter out. Install the new filter using lubricated seals (then reconnect the pan and the gasket using screws in a crisscross fashion). Lastly, put in the drain plug and fill the transmission.
