How to service and repair the front bumper cover on 2005 Lincoln LS?

Start repair and servicing of the front bumper cover by removing both headlamps. Start by removing 6 screws jointed to a pin-type retainer along with the front valance panel. Initiate the fender splash shield removal by unscrewing the 6 upper screws followed by the 6 screws on the lower fender splash shield. Unplug both fog lamp electrical connectors as well as both side marker lamp electrical connectors. A proper installation requires removing the 4 front bumper cover bracket bolts from the fenders but tightening them to 7 Nm (62 lb-in) during reassembly. Detaching the front bumper cover requires pulling down the center tabs and outward motion of the outboard tabs located on each side. The installation ends with the opposite process of uninstallation.
