How to service and repair the rear bumper cover on Lincoln LS?

First step for repairing or servicing the rear bumper cover include taking off the luggage compartment trim panels. You should first unscrew the two screws from each side of the rear bumper cover which are located inside the inner fenders before moving to the two rear bumper cover screws. At the right-hand side remove the rear bumper cover bolt while also removing the wheel well area nut then reinstall while tightening both components to 7 Nm (62 lb-in). When installing the rear bumper cover bolt you need to both remove it from the left-hand side then tighten it to 7 Nm (62 lb-in). Remove the five luggage compartment rear bumper cover nuts, tighten them to 7 Nm before moving on to detach six more rear bumper cover nuts distributed three per side then re-tighten them to 7 Nm when reinstalling. To finish the installation the rear bumper cover should be removed while disconnecting electrical connector if present followed by reversing the removal steps.
