In order to service the hood latch, lift the section of the hood and remove the retainers and the upper radiator shield. In the case of the Expedition remove latch cable by unbolt and release; in the case of the Navigator by screw, cables and bolts. Re-Installation - Invert the steps to be sure that there is good contact with the striker.
