How to Service the PCV Valve on 2005 Mercury Monterey?

In order to service the PCV valve remove battery ground wire and loosen PCV hose. de-electricalize the connector and, when the valve is taken out, replace with a new connector otherwise the locking mechanism will be damaged. To remove the valve, just rotate it counterclockwise then do the same in reverse to install it.
