Service operations on the right-hand exhaust manifold require starting by putting the vehicle into neutral position on a hoist. Eliminate the dual converter Y-pipe before unfastening the heat shield nuts along with removing the right-hand heat shield. The right-hand exhaust manifold decoupling process involves removing six exhaust manifold nuts to detach the manifold before trashing the old right-hand exhaust manifold gasket. Insert a new right-hand exhaust manifold gasket before fixing the right-hand exhaust manifold into position with six nuts which should be tightened following a specific sequence to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.). Roll up the right-hand heat shield before setting it into place using three nuts that need to be tightened to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.). Install the dual converter Y-pipe as the final step.
