The height sensor connection from the upper control arm needs to be detached from the air suspension vehicle's bracket. First employ the hex holding feature that stops the stud from rotation to remove and discard the upper ball joint nut before installing a new nut which should be tightened to 150 Nm (111 ft. lbs.). First remove the rearward upper arm-to-frame nut with bolt then discard the nut before installing a new one which should get tightened to 150 Nm (111 ft. lbs.). Remove the forward upper arm-to-frame nut along with bolt and upper arm component but discard the nut before installing a new one which should be tightened to 150 Nm (111 ft. lbs.). Prevent tightening upper control arm forward and rearward nuts until the installation is finished with the vehicle weight applied to its wheel and tire assemblies. After performing the reinstall the technician checks the front end alignment and adjusts when needed.
