Start by taking out the three screws located at the base of the steering column shroud before finally separating and removing the lower component. First disconnect the ignition switch electrical connector before removing the two ignition switch screws and finally removing the ignition switch. To install the steering column set the ignition switch in proper position relative to slot and index mark while torquing screws to 6 Nm (53 inch lbs.). After finished work return to the supplemental restraint system (SRS) and reactivate it.
