First remove the ignition switch by taking out its two screws followed by disconnecting the electrical connector. To install the ignition switch position it correctly in the slot and index mark of the steering column and fasten the screws at 6 Nm torque. Completing the repair requires the opposite procedure to reinstall the supplemental restraint system (SRS).

To install the steering column set the ignition switch in proper position relative to slot and index mark while torquing screws to 6 Nm (53 inch lbs.).
