How to service and repair the clutch disc and pressure plate on 2006 Ford Focus?

In order to service the pressure plate and clutch disc, the transaxle is removed and the pressure plate bolts are loosened. Wipe the surfaces using an alcohol-based solvent. Install the clutch disc with new bolts, tighten them in a star shape, centralize it with a clutch aligner and then connect it to the flywheel. Reinstall the transaxle.
