You must begin rear bumper cover service and repair by taking out the luggage compartment trim panel and four pin-type retainers. The service procedure requires removal of the three pin-type retainers which exist in GT vehicles. You need to access the luggage compartment to take out the four nuts holding the rear bumper cover while you must tighten them to 5 Nm (44 lb-in) before putting everything back. The electrical connector inside the luggage compartment needs disconnecting for proper removal of the rear bumper cover while guiding the rear bumper electrical harness through the vehicle's rear section. The installation process requires performing the steps in reverse order of the removal process.
