How to service and repair the ignition switch on 2006 Ford Ranger?

To replace the ignition switch, shut off the SRS, take off the hood latch handle, unscrew the bottom instrument panel cover. Take out the ignition switch connector, take off the screws and install again, tightening to 6 Nm. Lastly, resume power to the SRS.
