How to service the brake light switch on 2006 Ford Ranger?

To service the brake light switch, disconnect the stoplamp switch electrical connector. Remove the cover and self-locking pin, then take out the stoplamp switch from the brake booster push rod and brake pedal assembly. Also, remove the spacer. For installation, reverse the removal procedure.
