2006 Ford Taurus Coolant Reservoir Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to service the coolant reservoir on 2006 Ford Taurus?
A: Draining the cooling system must be the first step before serving the coolant reservoir. The first step involves removing the two upper degas bottle hoses then setting them aside after which the lower degas bottle hose must be disconnected followed by its placement aside. Unfasten both the bolt and nut holding the degas bottle then extract the degas bottle from the system. The installation requires tightening the bolt and nut to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.) and following the reverse removal steps. The service requires filling and bleeding of the cooling system to finish the work.
