Service of the rear ABS sensor should begin after positioning the vehicle on a hoist in NEUTRAL. The ABS sensor requires you to remove its electrical connector and bolt before sensor removal while you need to use 8 Nm (71 inch lbs.) torque for the bolt during reassembly. During sensor replacement, you need to clean all dust and debris from its surrounding area near the rear anti-lock brake sensor. You must first remove two retaining components from the ABS sensor harness which includes the retainer and pin-type retainer. The ABS sensor with its harness must be removed from its position to finish the installation process by doing the steps in reverse order.
