How to service and repair the ignition switch on 2006 Lincoln Town Car?

In order to fix the ignition switch, de-power SRS. Disconnect the ignition switch lock cylinder, by placing it in RUN and pressing release tab. Remove the tilt lever, upper shroud and screws. Unscrew the connector of the ignition switch, unscrew the switch and reattach it with screws as required. Repower the SRS.
