You need to disconnect the transmission selector lever electrical connector first and then remove its four bolts to place the transmission range selector lever assembly aside. Reinstall this assembly with 12 Nm (9 lb-ft) torque. Before replacing bolt back in, you need to free and unbolt the two console floor bolts. Tighten them to 8 Nm (71 lb-in) when done. You need to push the floor console toward the rear first to uninstall it. Reassemble all parts by doing the installation steps in reverse with tight screw connections.
