How to Service the Rear Brake Disc on 2006 Mercury Montego?

The service process of rear brake rotor/disc begins by placing the vehicle in NEUTRAL and mounting it on a hoist. Supporting platforms should replace the brake caliper anchor plate when you need to remove it because hanging the anchor plate from the brake hose is dangerous. Stop the brake caliper anchor plate bolts from use and set the plate aside after their removal. Reinstall the anchor plate by tightening it to 110 Nm (81 ft. lbs.). After removal of the brake disc screw you need to discard it but during installation apply force of 21 Nm (15 ft. lbs.). Reverse the removal steps to install the brake components by using two new brake caliper anchor plate bolts.
